Position Overview: Director of Electronic Sales - Canada

The Director of Electronic Sales is tasked with spearheading revenue growth within the electronics access control sector across Canada, engaging with various channels including Wholesale, Integrator, and PAC. Key responsibilities encompass cultivating and managing strategic relationships, executing sales initiatives, and developing comprehensive communication strategies to meet market demands while enhancing customer loyalty and brand visibility. This role will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales, Commercial, and will be instrumental in shaping the overarching electronics strategy for the channel, ensuring alignment with regional sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive revenue and pricing objectives for electronic products, ensuring brand profitability while optimizing sales through strategic pricing.
  2. Leverage sales and management expertise to mentor and develop a geographically diverse sales team, focusing on succession planning for key roles.
  3. Formulate and oversee sales strategies in collaboration with the sales leadership team, aligning with the Long Range Plan (LRP) and managing the sales budget to achieve financial targets.
  4. Work alongside regional sales teams to ensure effective support for processes and tools, fostering a robust pipeline of sales opportunities.
  5. Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge by analyzing market data and competitive activities, adapting strategies to capitalize on market changes.
  6. Develop and refine channel strategies while nurturing relationships with top-tier channel partners.
  7. Drive market share growth in key focus areas, including mechanical security, electronic security, and credential management.
  8. Collaborate with VP/GMs, Product Managers, and Marketing to provide localized insights for product development and pricing strategies that enhance profitability.
  9. Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects as necessary.
  10. Manage sales relationships with PACS in Canada in conjunction with Americas Partners.
  11. Identify potential PACS partners for future integration opportunities within the electro-mechanical portfolio.
  12. Establish action plans for sales coverage in partnership with regional sales leadership for security access control channels.
  13. Build strong relationships with targeted direct accounts to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  14. Develop strategic business plans for key accounts.
  15. Provide ongoing feedback to Regional Sales Management regarding channel activities to meet revenue and growth targets.
  16. Understand the business landscape and market dynamics influencing the access control channel, remaining aware of competitive performance.
Qualifications:
  1. 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership, with a preference for experience in security access control electronics.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Proven ability to influence a variety of direct and indirect accounts.
  5. Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  6. Experience in building businesses from small to larger scales.
  7. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on executing business plans.
  9. Collaborative approach with both customers and internal teams.
  10. Customer-focused with the ability to balance customer needs and business objectives.
  11. Desired experience in sales or marketing within the security channel.
  12. Ability to align regional targets with key metrics and maintain a cohesive team environment.
  13. Strong knowledge of market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  14. Effective territory management techniques that drive results.
  15. Proficient in utilizing CRM and other tools to achieve business outcomes.
  16. Solid understanding of overall business strategy and external market conditions.
