Position Overview: Director of National Electronic Sales - Canada

The Director of National Electronic Sales is tasked with spearheading profitable revenue growth within the electronics access control sector across Canada. This role encompasses all sales channels, including Wholesale, Integrator, and PAC, through effective program and sales execution. Key responsibilities include fostering and managing relationships with direct and indirect channels, including IT Professionals and Division 28 Security Consultants. The role also involves crafting sales and communication strategies that address market demands, create new opportunities, and enhance customer loyalty and brand visibility. The position reports directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales, Commercial, and plays a crucial role in shaping the overall electronics strategy for the channel, ensuring cohesive execution across regional sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive revenue and pricing objectives for electronic products, ensuring brand profitability while optimizing sales through strategic pricing.
  2. Leverage sales and management expertise to mentor and develop a geographically dispersed sales team, focusing on nurturing future leaders.
  3. Formulate and oversee sales strategies in collaboration with the sales leadership team, aligning with the Long Range Plan (LRP) and managing the sales budget to achieve financial targets.
  4. Work alongside regional sales teams to ensure robust support for processes and tools that facilitate the development of a strong opportunity pipeline.
  5. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and competitive activities, adapting strategies to capitalize on market changes.
  6. Develop and refine channel strategies while cultivating relationships with top-tier channel partners.
  7. Drive market share growth in key focus areas, including mechanical and electronic security, as well as credential management.
  8. Collaborate with VP/GMs, Product Managers, and Marketing to provide localized insights for new products and pricing strategies that enhance profitability.
  9. Lead significant cross-functional initiatives and projects as required.
  10. Manage sales relationships with PACS in Canada, in conjunction with Americas Partners.
  11. Identify potential PACS partners for future integration opportunities within the electro-mechanical portfolio.
  12. Establish action plans for sales coverage in collaboration with regional sales leadership.
  13. Build strong relationships with targeted direct accounts to meet revenue and growth objectives.
  14. Develop comprehensive business plans for key accounts.
  15. Provide ongoing feedback to Regional Sales Management regarding channel activities to support revenue and growth initiatives.
  16. Understand the dynamics of the access control market and the influence of competition.
Qualifications:
  1. 8-10 years of sales leadership experience, with a preference for background in security access control electronics.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Proven ability to influence a diverse range of accounts.
  5. Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  6. Experience in scaling business operations from small to larger scales.
  7. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on executing business plans.
  9. Collaborative approach with both customers and internal teams.
  10. Customer-focused mindset, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
  11. Desirable experience in sales or marketing within the security channel.
  12. Proficient in aligning regional targets with key metrics to ensure cohesive team projects.
  13. In-depth knowledge of market and competitive landscape.
  14. Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans for territory management.
  15. Familiarity with CRM and other business tools to drive results.
  16. Strong business acumen, staying attuned to external conditions affecting customer needs.
  17. Leadership skills that promote diversity and talent mobility across the organization.

  19. Ability to build strategic customer relationships for competitive advantage.

  22. Willingness to travel 50-75%, including across Canada and the US, with a valid passport.
