Position Overview

Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a Quality Control and Training Lead to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of quality within our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a dedicated team of quality control inspectors and technicians focused on tooling.
  • Task Management: Assign responsibilities, oversee workloads, and ensure the quality control team operates efficiently.
  • Quality Meetings: Conduct regular discussions to address quality concerns, provide constructive feedback, and promote ongoing improvements.
  • Inspection Oversight: Supervise the examination and testing of tools, dies, molds, and precision components to confirm adherence to design specifications and tolerances.
  • Quality Verification: Utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to ensure product quality.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep detailed documentation of inspections, test outcomes, and any non-conformances to ensure traceability and accuracy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality policies relevant to the tooling sector.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive quality reports for management, identifying concerns and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues related to tooling and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing tooling product quality, minimizing scrap rates, and boosting production efficiency.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry advancements, new materials, and technologies that can enhance tooling quality.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve quality challenges, working closely with production and engineering teams to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Auditor are advantageous. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within the tooling industry.
