About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Fergie's Bakery & Convenience. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of 3-4 team members, including grocery clerks and shelf stockers.
  • Inventory Management
    • Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Assign sales workers to duties to ensure excellent customer service and drive sales growth.
    • Authorize returns of merchandise and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare payroll and invoices for clients.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail sales and customer service environment.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Accurate and reliable with a strong attention to detail.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This role is based in an urban area and requires the ability to work in a retail business environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
