Location: Remote

Position Summary

The Internal Sales Account Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations for OCR Canada within a designated client portfolio. This role involves engaging with clients and prospective accounts through various communication channels to foster opportunities and finalize sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a consistent track record of sales success and possess the ability to connect with a diverse clientele, including technical professionals and executive-level staff. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure familiarity with OCR Canada's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address customer inquiries regarding products, services, order updates, stock levels, and shipment tracking, ensuring timely communication of order statuses.
  • Meet or surpass OCR Canada's sales performance goals, focusing on revenue generation, responsiveness, and effective time management.
  • Review and process order entries and purchase requests accurately within OCR's management system.
  • Identify and address the root causes of customer dissatisfaction, implementing appropriate corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager for technical and commercial support, particularly for complex issues.
  • Work with logistics and suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery of products.
  • Manage the preparation and processing of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct outreach to customers and prospects utilizing OCR's customer relationship management tools.
  • Assist in accounts receivable and collections efforts to resolve overdue invoices efficiently.
  • Engage in marketing initiatives, including participation in trade shows and customer events.
  • Timely submission of all required reports, including expense and performance reports.
  • Execute core sales functions such as prospecting, quoting, product demonstrations, and closing sales opportunities, while maintaining a positive growth trajectory in sales and margins.
  • Encourage end-user preference for OCR Canada's products and services, fostering strong relationships with influencers in the purchasing process.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and sales data to inform strategies.

Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain excellent relationships across all departments within OCR Canada.
  • Maintain effective communication with the service team and technical management to coordinate professional services related to orders.
  • Play a pivotal role in customer satisfaction by addressing product and service complaints and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to special projects and additional tasks as required.
  • Develop connections with OEM representatives to facilitate transaction closures and future business opportunities.
  • Ensure collaboration with the accounting department to maintain awareness of client payment statuses and credit issues.
  • Provide the accounting team with all necessary account information to ensure timely sales payments.
  • Foster relationships with national service management regarding service agreements.
  • Act as the primary liaison for OCR Canada's client accounts.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in office software, particularly MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and make informed decisions.
  • Professional demeanor in phone communications.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; bilingualism in Quebec French is an asset.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of demonstrated success in internal sales.
  • Completion of a college degree in business or accounting.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
