Position Summary

The Internal Sales Account Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations for OCR Canada within a designated client portfolio. This role involves engaging with existing and prospective clients through various communication channels to identify opportunities and finalize sales agreements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in sales performance and possess the ability to connect with a diverse clientele, including industry professionals and executive-level stakeholders. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure a deep understanding of OCR Canada's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address customer inquiries regarding products, services, order status, and shipment tracking while providing timely updates to clients and the sales team.
  • Achieve or surpass OCR Canada's sales objectives, focusing on responsiveness and effective time management.
  • Ensure accuracy in order processing by reviewing purchase requests and entries within OCR's operational systems.
  • Investigate customer dissatisfaction and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager for advanced commercial and technical support to resolve complex issues.
  • Work with logistics and suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery of products.
  • Manage return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct outreach to customers and prospects using OCR's customer relationship management tools.
  • Support accounts receivable efforts to facilitate the resolution of overdue payments.
  • Engage in marketing initiatives, including participation in trade shows and customer events.
  • Timely submission of all required reports, including expense and performance reports.
  • Execute core sales functions, including prospecting, proposal development, product demonstrations, and closing sales.
  • Foster end-user preference for OCR Canada's products and maintain relationships with key influencers to support sales efforts.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and sales metrics.

Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships across all departments within OCR Canada.
  • Coordinate with service teams and technical management to effectively deploy resources for client projects.
  • Address customer complaints directly to enhance satisfaction and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Contribute to special projects and additional tasks as required.
  • Develop partnerships with OEM representatives to facilitate transactions and identify future business opportunities.
  • Maintain communication with the accounting department to ensure clarity on payment statuses and credit conditions.
  • Ensure timely processing of sales payments by providing the accounting team with necessary account information.
  • Collaborate with national service management regarding service agreements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client accounts.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in office software, particularly MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and make informed decisions.
  • Professional demeanor in phone communications.

  • Fluency in English is required; bilingualism (French) is advantageous.

Education and Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of proven internal sales experience.
  • Post-secondary education in business or accounting.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
