Key Responsibilities
Culinary Management
- Collaborate with the regional culinary team to uphold superior culinary standards across all sectors, emphasizing service excellence, innovation, and financial prudence.
- Guarantee the consistent provision of high-caliber food and culinary services throughout the region.
- Formulate and execute standardized recipes, menus, and culinary methodologies that align with organizational benchmarks and client expectations.
Leadership Development
- Offer robust leadership and direction to a team of culinary professionals, nurturing a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Establish clear objectives, inspire, and motivate the team towards achieving culinary distinction.
- Support the sales process to foster new business opportunities.
- Oversee specialized catering functions and may provide culinary training or demonstrations of culinary techniques.
- Coordinate efforts with other internal departments and engage in management team discussions, interfacing with vendors and key stakeholders.
Menu Innovation
- Partner with the culinary team to design creative and diverse menus that address the preferences and dietary needs of clients.
- Stay informed on culinary trends and integrate them into menu development utilizing proprietary systems.
- Generate and implement innovative ideas that drive revenue growth within the dining services sector.
Training and Skill Enhancement
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training initiatives aimed at enhancing the culinary expertise and knowledge of chefs in the region.
- Provide continuous coaching and constructive feedback to facilitate professional development.
- Assist in the training and development of all culinary and food service personnel in food preparation and presentation standards.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular evaluations and inspections to uphold food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, including production, presentation, and service protocols.
- Address any discrepancies promptly and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Support the Brand Management team in maintaining Aramark's brand standards throughout the region.
Client Engagement
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, gaining insights into their needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored culinary solutions that surpass their expectations.
- Engage in sales presentations and client meetings on-site.
Financial Oversight
- Work closely with the regional management team to formulate and oversee budgets for culinary operations, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including health and safety, food handling, and licensing requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume food service setting.
- At least 5 years of experience in high-end catering operations, fine dining, and ideally events.
- Experience in healthcare operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in new concepts, menu and recipe development, food presentation, and creative skills that align with business objectives.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary arts, food preparation techniques, and menu planning.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with Aramark's food safety standards and sanitation regulations, along with Advanced Food Safety Certification.
- Willingness to travel within the region as necessary.
