Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Service Leader to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Clinical Service Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the daily clinical service delivery and environmental/operational issues in the designated service area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and guide respiratory therapists and support staff in the designated service area, providing clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, education, evaluation, and research.
  2. Contribute to the delivery of quality respiratory therapy services by examining, developing, refining, and evaluating the body of knowledge and clinical practices.
  3. Assist with performance appraisals, recruitment, and coordination of clinical work schedules, caseloads, and service rotations.
  4. Maintain a partial clinical caseload, including Respiratory Therapy assessment, interventions, and follow-up within established standards of care.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years recent, relevant Respiratory Therapy experience in a large complex environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or another field of study with a relevant major.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods without resting.
  • Must demonstrate safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required.
