Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and professional Administrative Assistant to deliver comprehensive support to senior executives within the Manitoba Government. This role demands a high level of organization, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to manage confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide extensive administrative and secretarial assistance to executive and senior management, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and arranging travel.
  • Draft, format, edit, and proofread various documents while ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exhibit political awareness and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Engage professionally with management and stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships through excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Oversee the organization of correspondence and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges as they arise.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with policies, procedures, and guidelines is essential.

  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High level of experience in managing correspondence and files.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.

Desired:
  • Post-secondary education in office or business administration from a recognized institution is advantageous.
