Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Machine Operator to join our team at EPL Plastics. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our plastics processing equipment, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to equipment to optimize production efficiency
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and chemicals according to precise formulae
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of materials produced, ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and chemicals to specific consistency and viscosity
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing
  • Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films
  • Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds through nozzles or dies
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to mould plastic products
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes
  • Organize and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products
