Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Machine Operator to join our team at EPL Plastics. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various plastic processing machines, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments to equipment to optimize production efficiency
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and chemicals according to precise formulae to achieve desired product consistency and viscosity
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of materials produced, identifying and addressing any defects or issues
  • Operate mixing machines, calender machines, and extruding machines to produce high-quality plastic products
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to mould plastic products, preparing and changing moulds as needed
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes
  • Organize and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products
  • Perform trimming and sanding of plastic or fiberglass parts as required
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Reliability, dependability, and strong team player skills
Work Environment

Our production facility is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Public transportation is available, and overtime may be required. We offer a competitive compensation package, including dental plan, disability benefits, and health care plan.
