Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for performing advanced purchasing and stock work, maintaining individual tool inventory lists, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of all purchases for the Maintenance Department, ensuring timely acquisition of materials for job orders and special projects.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, statements, and vendor hold checks.
• Provide backup support to the CAFM Manager in the supervision and operation of CAFM 10 Systems applications.
• Schedule maintenance personnel for in-service, refresher, and required out-of-town training.
• Process HR forms and schedule interviews for the Maintenance Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Considerable knowledge of business terminology, spelling, grammar, arithmetic, and office practices and procedures.
• Skill in operating standard office machines and personal computers.
• Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with the public.
• Ability to make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Working Conditions:
• Work is performed on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to standards developed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
• Must be enrolled in, or must have completed and passed an on-line approved defensive driving course.
