Rehabilitation Therapy Technician III

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapy Technician III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care and support to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
- Provide direct contact instruction and training to patients on their treatment plans.
- Train others to ensure continuity of treatment plans.
- Monitor the implementation of program objectives and gather data to report to the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and provide feedback on individual progress.
- Develop and maintain data collection systems for assigned therapeutic specialties.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and skills in relevant therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to assist in development of treatment and support plans.
- Ability to utilize personal computers and relevant software.
- General knowledge of Joint Commission/Behavioral Health regulations and state hospital policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet the same physical requirements as those for direct contact staff positions.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Working Conditions:
This position may require working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The ability to work effectively in a team setting and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.

This position may be eligible for additional pay for work performed on maximum security locations. The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
