Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapy Technician III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
  • Provide direct contact instruction and training to patients on their treatment plans.
  • Train others to ensure continuity of treatment plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Work under the general supervision of a Registered Therapist, Psychologist, or Vocational/Day Programming Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in disaster response and recovery efforts.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and skills in relevant therapeutic techniques, such as applied behavior analysis and sensory integration.
  • Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain data collection systems.
  • General knowledge of Joint Commission/Behavioral Health regulations and state hospital policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be required to work a specific shift schedule, including extended shifts and overtime as needed.
