Administrative Assistant III

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for performing advanced purchasing and stock work, maintaining individual tool inventory lists, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of all purchases for the Maintenance Department, ensuring timely acquisition of material for job orders and special projects.
- Under the guidance of the Maintenance Administrative Coordinator, prepare and reconcile purchases and statements for the Maintenance Department credit card holders.
- Provide backup to the CAFM Manager in the supervision and operation of CAFM 10 Systems applications.
- Maintain Maintenance Policy and Procedures Manuals.
- Schedule Maintenance Personnel for in-service, refresher, and required out-of-town training.
- Attend Maintenance QIT and Accident Review Board meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Process all HR forms and schedule interviews for Maintenance Department personnel.
Requirements:
- Considerable knowledge of business terminology, spelling, grammar, arithmetic, and office practices and procedures.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Must have an acceptable driving record according to standards developed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
- Must be enrolled in or have completed and passed an online approved defensive driving course.
Working Conditions:
This position requires regular attendance and adherence to agency leave policy. Work is performed on the Vernon Campus and may be reformed on the Wichita Falls Campus as needed. The successful candidate will work under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
