POSITION:
Production Supervisor
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our bakery operations. This role is essential for driving change management and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility, focusing on production, sanitation, quality assurance, maintenance, health & safety, and warehouse operations. The responsibilities include: Leading and mentoring team members through effective training and recognition programs. Directing hourly staff to ensure optimal facility operations. Monitoring key performance indicators relevant to the area of responsibility (such as line speeds, efficiency, waste, labor costs, and adherence to schedules). Keeping abreast of performance metrics and implementing corrective measures as needed. Maintaining accurate documentation regarding team performance, product quality, daily reconciliations, health and safety, production reports, and payroll, while adhering to company and industry standards. Fostering a robust safety culture by ensuring the effective execution of the company's safety program, utilizing best practices in safety leadership, including training, observation, and positive reinforcement. Participating in safety audits and hazard identification. Conducting timely and thorough accident investigations and following up on necessary actions. Actively participating in and leading continuous improvement projects. Collaborating with the Maintenance department to prevent and address equipment breakdowns. Partnering with the Quality Assurance team to mitigate and resolve quality concerns, ensuring compliance with all quality standards including GMPs, HACCP, and SOPs. Communicating effectively with all shift personnel and workgroups to provide necessary information and instructions to resolve issues and maintain productive working relationships. EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

SALARY:
CAD 70,000.00 annually based on a 40-hour work week, with eligibility for annual salary increases and performance-based bonuses.

Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
EXPERIENCE & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of experience in food processing or manufacturing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Training in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). Strong communication skills for training and leading a diverse workforce. Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and adept at problem-solving. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, supervisory duties, and best practices. Proven ability to schedule staff and production shifts in a multi-shift environment. Flexibility to work afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekends.
