POSITION:
Production Supervisor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our operations. This role will be crucial in driving the implementation and execution of various change management and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility, focusing on production, sanitation, quality assurance, maintenance, health & safety, and warehousing functions. The key responsibilities include: Develop, mentor, and motivate team members through effective training and recognition. Supervise hourly staff to ensure optimal facility operations. Monitor and drive key performance indicators relevant to the area of responsibility (such as line speeds, efficiency, waste management, labor costs, and adherence to schedules). Stay informed on performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate documentation regarding employee performance, product quality, daily reconciliations, health and safety compliance, production reports, and payroll. Ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the company's safety program, utilizing best practices in safety leadership (including orientation, training, observation, correction, and positive reinforcement). Participate in safety audits, hazard identification, and preventative measures. Conduct timely and thorough accident investigations and follow up on any necessary actions resulting from these investigations. Actively lead and participate in the execution of continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with the Maintenance department to assist in the prevention and resolution of equipment breakdowns. Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to address and resolve quality concerns, ensuring compliance with all quality standards including GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and specifications. Communicate effectively with all shift associates and workgroups, providing necessary information and guidance to resolve issues and maintain productive working relationships. EMPLOYMENT TERMS:

SALARY:
CAD 70,000.00 annually based on a 40-hour work week, with eligibility for annual salary increases and performance-based bonuses.

Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
EXPERIENCE & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of experience in food processing or manufacturing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Training in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). Strong communication skills for training and leading a diverse workforce. Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, supervisory responsibilities, and best practices. Proven ability to schedule staff and production shifts in a multi-shift environment. Flexibility to work afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekends.
