Position Overview

The role of a Live-In Child Care Provider involves providing attentive and nurturing care for children in a residential setting. This position is temporary and requires a commitment of 75 hours bi-weekly.

Work Environment
  • Work Language: English

  • Room and Board: Provided
Key Responsibilities
  • Change diapers and assist with toilet training
  • Sterilize feeding bottles and prepare infant formulas
  • Take full responsibility for household tasks in the absence of parents
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping duties
  • Shop for groceries and household supplies
  • Accompany family on trips, assisting with child supervision
  • Provide bathing, dressing, and feeding for infants and children
  • Discipline children as per parental guidelines
  • Teach personal hygiene and social skills to children
  • Maintain records of children's daily activities and health
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment
  • Organize engaging activities, including games and outings
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals
  • Assist children in preparing for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children, addressing their emotional needs
  • Support children with homework and educational activities
  • Conduct cooking and meal preparation
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
  • Reference: Required
