About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Colas. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall on-site management and administrative direction to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Document and report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other project team members.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by superiors or as required for successful project completion.
Requirements
  • Construction-related degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on road construction, fine grading, culvert installation, or other related activities.
  • Experience with GPS survey and grade control systems is an asset.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage construction teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Valid Class G License and clean driver's abstract.
  • Willingness to travel and work at various project locations.
