Job Summary

Waste Management is seeking a skilled Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work under direct supervision and follow established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to perform minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Perform minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
  • Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Assist in the repair and adjustment of equipment.
  • Wash vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
  • Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
  • Assist with service calls for breakdowns.
  • Perform other maintenance related work as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.

Requirements

  • Registered Apprentice Mechanic
  • No prior work experience required.
