On-Site Project Coordinator

As a Project Superintendent at Miller Paving South Western Ontario, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all daily construction operations on-site.
- Leading productivity initiatives and assessing the performance and efficiency of team members and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Assisting in the formulation of a comprehensive construction strategy and managing subcontractor activities effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with design specifications throughout the construction process.
- Maintaining high standards for project materials and workmanship in line with quality benchmarks.
- Implementing Miller Paving's Safety Program to foster a secure working environment and comply with safety regulations and documentation requirements.
- Recording and reporting any incidents, completing necessary injury and accident documentation.
- Informing management of potential challenges, work disruptions, or scheduling conflicts while aiding in their resolution.
- Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assisting in the preparation of as-built documentation, including details on roads, parking areas, driveways, and excavations.
- Coordinating the use of both owned and rented equipment on-site to optimize operational efficiency.
- Advising the Operations Manager on any quality assurance concerns or areas needing attention.
- Maintaining detailed job logs and photographic records of the site.
- Verifying quantities and payments with representatives from the owner and subcontractors.
- Completing other assigned responsibilities as needed.
- A degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction, particularly in roadwork, fine grading, culvert installation, or similar projects.
- Familiarity with GPS surveying and grade control systems is advantageous.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Essential skills in evaluating trade performance and overseeing project execution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety protocols, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, engineering plans, and related documentation.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Physical capability to navigate stairs, ladders, and rugged terrain.
- Willingness to work extended hours in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as project demands dictate.
- A valid Class G License with a clean driving record.
- Readiness to travel and adapt to project locations as required.
