Culinary Services Supervisor

The Culinary Services Supervisor at Meltwich Food Co. plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our food service team. This position is essential for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals and exceptional service.
Educational Requirements- Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
This role is situated within a restaurant setting, where teamwork and efficiency are paramount.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates for food service operations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
- Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
This position involves supervising a team of 5-10 individuals, including:
- General cooks
- Food and beverage servers
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
- Strong client focus
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Applicants should have 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week, with English as the primary working language.
