Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling all day-to-day operational elements of our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently to accomplish tasks within the scope of the job, ensuring timely and accurate updates on customer movement of freight and information.
  • Effectively and efficiently respond to internal stakeholders' inquiries, resolving any conflicts or problems that may arise.
  • Ensure all account correspondence is maintained up to date, with appropriate electronic copies uploaded along with milestones.
  • Work with both internal and external clients to prepare and present quotes, maintaining quotes in the system.
  • Monitor carriers who are unresponsive and inform dispatchers and supervisors of escalated issues.
  • Update our transportation management system and customer websites with real-time load locations.
  • Identify problems proactively and develop creative and efficient solutions.
  • Prioritize loads based on importance and delivery date.
  • Communicate any modifications to account managers to update clients.
  • Build strong relationships with assigned carriers through communication and ongoing monitoring of on-time performance.
  • Complete performance reports for all carrier-related issues in a timely manner, notifying potential issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Negotiate any additional charges with carriers, assisting to maintain the accuracy of carrier information.
  • Ensure tracking meets established standards, escalating for resolution as appropriate.
  • Communicate any carrier issues that may impact operations.
  • Working knowledge of transportation cargo claims, transportation laws, and risk management.
  • Keep the operations team and account manager updated on significant issues.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of client information.
  • Maintain the integrity of shared work files on network system shared programs.
  • Meet KPI standards as per company guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics/distribution.
  • College diploma/university degree in business, logistics, or international trade (preferable).
  • CIFFA certificate (an asset).
  • Dangerous Goods Certification (an asset).

Language and Computer Skills
  • English is the principal language for this position, with additional languages required in other locations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of transportation management software (i.e., Load Link, PC Miler, etc.) (an asset).
