Job Summary

The Operations Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day operational elements for our customers. This position requires adaptability, flexibility, and a strong ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently accomplish tasks within the scope of the job, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Effectively respond to internal stakeholders' inquiries, resolving conflicts and problems as they arise.
  • Ensure all account correspondence is up-to-date, with electronic copies uploaded and milestones tracked in real-time.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to prepare and present quotes, maintaining accurate records in the system.
  • Monitor carriers' performance, escalating issues as necessary to ensure optimal DSV profit margins.
  • Update transportation management systems and customer websites with real-time load locations.
  • Proactively identify problems and develop creative solutions to optimize operations.
  • Prioritize loads based on importance and delivery dates, ensuring timely completion.
  • Communicate modifications to account managers to update clients.
  • Build strong relationships with assigned carriers through effective communication and ongoing monitoring of on-time performance.
  • Complete performance reports for carrier-related issues, notifying relevant parties as necessary.
  • Negotiate additional charges with carriers, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure tracking meets established standards, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Communicate carrier issues impacting operations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and integrity of shared work files.
  • Meet KPI standards as per company guidelines.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution.
  • A college diploma or university degree in Business, Logistics, or International Trade (preferable).
  • CIFFA certification or Dangerous Goods Certification (an asset).

  • Ability to multitask, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Working knowledge of transportation management software (e.g., Load Link, PC Miler).
