Job Summary:

The Oncology Nurse II Float position is a critical role in our ambulatory care team. As an Oncology Nurse, you will provide holistic cancer care to patients, assessing, intervening, and coordinating care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centered care, prioritizing individual needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Administer cytotoxic medications, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
  • Participate in patient education, promoting informed decision-making and self-care
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient outcomes and care processes
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Knowledge of Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice
  • Proficient in computer software and applications, including MS Windows and Outlook
  • Satisfactory employment record and ability to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree
  • Three years' experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care settings
  • Knowledge and experience in oncology, electronic charting, and French language
