Position Overview: As a Privacy Compliance Analyst at CLBC, you will take on independent technical analysis responsibilities, collaborating with senior personnel on various projects within designated sectors or portfolios.

This role operates under the authority granted by FOIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act) and adheres to the principles of administrative fairness and common law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Addressing inquiries from individuals and families regarding complaints about the management of their personal information.
  • Providing insights to the Director of Quality Assurance on practice trends to facilitate enhancements.
  • Offering guidance and support to field staff concerning privacy or information requests.
  • Coordinating and/or facilitating training sessions or practice forums for CLBC personnel.

As the subject matter expert, you will deliver support and advice to CLBC's business units, assisting managers, staff, and service providers with privacy and information requests.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitoring and enhancing CLBC's programs, including the development of policies, procedures, standards, forms, and agreements that align with privacy initiatives.
  • Staying informed about news, events, laws, and regulations, as well as communication compliance requirements for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Regional Operations, Information Management, Human Resources, and other teams to ensure privacy compliance during program development.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in FOIPPA, particularly regarding information access, information release, and the implementation of control technologies related to privacy in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
  • Familiarity with CLBC's internal processes, policies, and programs to address practice issues related to privacy and information access.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with the ability to create and maintain databases and utilize appropriate software for document redaction.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, Law, Public Administration, Information Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a senior policy/program analyst role, with at least one year focused on privacy in a complex organizational setting.
