About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Practice Analyst to join our team at Community Living BC. As a key member of our Information Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients' personal information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on FOIPPA requirements and implementation to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Lead investigations into privacy incidents, including responding to and managing information incidents and privacy breaches.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards to support CLBC's privacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional operations, information management, and human resources teams to ensure seamless integration of privacy practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, laws, and regulations related to privacy and information management.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of FOIPPA, including information access, release of information, and implementation of control technologies.
  • Ability to interpret privacy concepts and requirements in diverse business functions and operational activities.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of responsiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and ability to build and maintain databases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Services, Law, Public Administration, Information Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a senior policy/program analyst position, with at least one year of focus on privacy within a complex organizational environment.
  • CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) designation is preferred.
