Director of Primary Health Care for Zone 3

Position Overview:
Horizon Health Network is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Director of Primary Health Care to oversee operations within Zone 3. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of primary health care services across the region.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five years in a leadership or management role within a health care setting.
- Expertise in human resources, financial oversight, and critical problem-solving.
- Proven skills in program leadership, including planning, execution, and assessment.
- A Master’s degree in Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A solid understanding of the Community Health Care model and the standards governing regulated health care professionals.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and programs.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English; French language skills are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Primary Health Care will be responsible for:
- Leading initiatives aimed at improving the quality of primary health care services.
- Mentoring and supervising teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance health outcomes.
- Reporting to the Executive Regional Director and being accountable for the implementation of the primary health care strategy.
- Engaging with various stakeholders to advance community health initiatives.
- Overseeing the delivery of quality primary health care through health centers and outreach services.
- Managing all aspects of team administration and staff management.
