Job Summary:

Zobility is seeking a highly skilled Design Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the EDM gearbox.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the EDM gearbox.
  • Lead interface between the Chief Engineering team and the Product Release Center.
  • Schedule hardware system design reviews across PRC and review DRE design proposals as required.
  • Organize reviews with Virtual Analysis / CAE team and ensure Virtual DVP / Scorecard is completed prior to any prototype hardware orders.
  • Manage Driveline System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM (team) reviews to ensure complete transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls leading to Robust DVP Actions.
  • Lead Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) / Value Optimization (VO) effort and alignment working closely with PRC, DVC and VO teams.
  • Represent CE in managing the "lessons learned" document for the program and ensure that TS (Technical Specialist) receive those updates on a timely manner to update the E-BPs accordingly.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years engineering experience.
  • ~ 5 years of engineering experience in driveline, axles, transmission, electrified driveline systems, or powertrain systems engineering experience.
  • ~ Gearbox, Driveline or Axle Design Release Responsibility.
  • ~ Master in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical or Equivalent.
  • ~ General knowledge and experience of powertrain duty cycle analysis.
  • ~ Knowledge in application of Functional Block Diagrams, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R).
  • ~ Experience with electric motors for automotive applications.
  • ~ Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to successful conclusion.
  • ~ Bachelor in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical or Equivalent.
