Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to departmental managers and staff on HR-related matters, including recruitment, collective agreement interpretation, attendance, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team, Labour Relations team, and Organizational Development and Training team to ensure a cohesive approach to HR services.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the City's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a unionized or public sector environment.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
