Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to our customers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to operate our technology products effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for complex issues related to Trimble, Caterpillar, UAV systems, and proximity detection devices.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for customers and end-users on the operation and maintenance of technology products.
  • Collaborate with Technology Sales Representatives to evaluate customer needs and develop tailored technology solutions.
  • Assist with inventory management and administration of assigned tooling and products.
  • Conduct internal training for team members to enhance their product knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Analyze and report on product performance, identifying trends in failures and serviceability issues to improve future service quality.
  • Coordinate with co-workers to ensure efficient diagnosis and repair at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying, civil construction, mining operations, or related engineering fields.
  • Preferred education: technical diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or Geomatics. Relevant work experience can be considered as an alternative.
  • Specialized training in presentation and training techniques is beneficial.
  • Technical proficiency in using Trimble Office software products, including Business Center.
  • 30-40% travel required for this region.
