Voilà is a new team dedicated to launching and scaling Sobeys Inc.'s e-commerce grocery home delivery business. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization. You will help launch and operate a new brand in the Alberta, Ontario and Quebec markets powered by Ocado Group's world-leading e-commerce grocery platform. We are looking for experienced, passionate, curious, customer-obsessed, and entrepreneurial individuals to join a diverse and driven team whose mission is to help Canadians stay one step ahead of their busy lives. Voilà will be the most reliable and convenient way for Canadians to shop for groceries.
Your Role: Demand Forecasting Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Demand Forecasting Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our e-commerce grocery platform. You will work closely with Category Managers to analyze market trends, customer demand, and supply chain data to develop accurate forecasts.
- Understand Customer Needs: Gain a deep understanding of customer preferences, buying habits, and seasonal trends within the grocery sector.
- Develop Accurate Forecasts: Utilize statistical analysis and forecasting techniques to predict future demand for various product categories.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Category Managers, Sourcing, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on forecasts and inventory planning.
- Identify Opportunities: Analyze forecast data to identify areas of growth, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor forecast accuracy, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement strategies to enhance forecasting processes.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven experience in demand planning, statistical analysis, or a related field within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
