Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a Demand Planner, you'll work closely with Category Managers to review forecast results and make forward-looking recommendations on opportunities in their respective category. You'll also collaborate with sourcing, category management, marketing, process optimization, and go-to-market functions to understand forecasts and trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the demand for respective categories and manage accurate demand forecasts that incorporate current and relevant market information.
  • Develop reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and confirm/communicate results.
  • Identify forecast accuracy root causes and refine process to ensure continuous improvement of the overall process.
  • Support the company's long-term strategy and inventory reduction while maintaining high customer service levels.
  • Coordinate seasonal forecast and plans with merchandizing, suppliers, and distribution teams.
  • Propose sales forecasts based on observations, knowledge, and assessments, and collaborate with partners to refine forecasts.
  • Track projections and recommend appropriate action to achieve service level metrics.
  • Accountable for ensuring forecast accuracy.
Requirements
  • Understanding of supply chain and business operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in forecast management, statistical analysis, procurement, or logistics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with fresh products or groceries.
