About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team at CCM Hockey. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for co-creating the Demand Plan for the North American market, by customer and product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the North American demand planning process is maintained on a monthly basis by country, key accounts, and product in accordance with the Business Calendar.
  • Closely work with sales and product management to understand account strategy, category focus, and business trends.
  • Work closely with procurement, vendor management, and sales operations to ensure a high level of service to our customers while limiting excess inventory.
  • Establish relationships with key buyers to improve forecast accuracy and service levels.
  • Provide the tools and information that will allow the business to capture, track, and monitor the sales results and trends throughout the demand planning process.
  • Ensure that the Forecasting tool (SmartSpreadsheet Solutions) is maintained and updated on a timely basis.
  • Align and coordinate with our margin planning analyst and ensure that prices, costs, and discounts are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Optimize existing demand planning tool and processes to drive efficiency, including leveraging sell-through reports in the forecasting process.
  • Improve the forecast accuracy measurement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in administration and 3-5 years of experience in demand planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate figures into business language.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage large quantities of data.
  • Very good communication skills and ability to present to an executive group.
  • Highly organized, results-driven individual.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Team player, sense of initiative, and independence.
  • Very good interpersonal skills to smoothly interact at any level of the company.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
  • Hockey industry knowledge a plus.
