Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support IV to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Administrative Support IV, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to management and staff, including responding to financial inquiries, processing transactions, and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Utilize advanced administrative skills to complete complex and urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines.
  • Verify invoices, liaise with Accounts Payable, and provide Added Care support to management.
  • Collect and organize information for confidential reports, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and perform data entry into various information systems.
  • Assist with other department processes, including filing, photocopying, faxing, and scheduling personnel.
Requirements
  • Advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department or program.
  • Minimum of 3 years secretarial experience, preferably in a health-related environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and other team members in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to take initiative and handle a variety of assignments with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Finance or accounting designation.
  • Familiarity with the Continuing Care program.
  • Familiarity with AHS policies and procedures.
