Position Title: Intermediate Technology Specialist, Integration
Reports To: Lead Technology Manager, Data Platforms
Department: IT Data and Analytics
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangement: This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring a minimum of two consecutive days in the office every other week, along with an additional assigned day each month. Flexibility to work more from the office is encouraged, depending on specific role requirements.

Role Overview: The Intermediate Technology Specialist, Integration is responsible for overseeing the API Management components, managing APIM service instances, and developing APIs, operations, and products that empower developers to harness their data and services effectively. This role also involves supporting the Azure Data Warehouse and its associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration processes on the DevOps platform to facilitate development activities within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Assess project requirements and contribute to the scheduling of team tasks.
  • Assign technical responsibilities and ensure the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly objectives for the platform.
  • Collaborate with team members, management, and clients to ensure project standards are met.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans proactively.
  • Evaluate existing operations and organize training sessions and meetings to explore enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.
  • Recommend improvements regarding security, scalability, manageability, cost models, and performance across various network, storage, and compute services as they pertain to the APIM platform.
  • Construct and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
  • Design, develop, and sustain an automation framework for iterative software development and testing, focusing on Bicep and DevOps deployment capabilities.
  • Create and maintain build scripts to automate deployments across multiple environments, including development, testing, QA, and production.
  • Provide operational support, including participation in an on-call rotation, and develop robust solutions for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Engage in architecture reviews, assessing technology designs and best practices.
  • Coordinate bi-weekly software releases for frontend and backend services hosted on Azure.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in integration delivery, encompassing API design, development, testing, security, governance, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud resources, including Azure APIM, Synapse, and Data Factory.
  • Certifications such as AZ-900, DP-900, AZ-400, or DP-203 are advantageous.
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across the entire technology stack – network, storage, server, and applications.
  • ITIL Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates and Bicep.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, PySpark, PowerShell, C#/.NET, and Bash.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of integration architectures, patterns, principles, and best practices.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and executing production deployments for web applications, including supporting artifacts like Database Schema migrations and orchestration through CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
