Job Title: Retirement Home Manager

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retirement Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two of our homes in Shelburne and Thornbury, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement the overall strategy for the Retirement Home, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality resident care.
  • Exercise delegated authority for resident care and planning, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Develop and manage the overall budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
  • Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, best practice, and risk management processes.
  • Participate in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating accurate resident assessments and care planning in collaboration with team members.
  • Respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
  • Establish positive relationships with residents and families, addressing concerns and complaints.
  • Lead resident care conferences and ensure effective communication.
  • Recruit, select, and hire nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage labor relations concerns, ensuring proper resolution and performance management.
  • Lead CQI processes and develop marketing strategies to increase occupancy levels.
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of clinical and business acumen.
  • 1-3 years in a senior living environment.
  • RPN/RN with current good standing with the CNO.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of computerized software and resident care management systems is an asset.
