Senior Living Facility Administrator

Welcome to Southbridge Care Homes, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Living Facility Administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement day-to-day operations of the retirement home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Exercise delegated authority for resident care and planning, working closely with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of quality care and resident-centered services.
  • Manage the overall budget, ensuring the home is financially stable and able to provide high-quality services.
  • Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, best practice, and risk management processes to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Participate in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating resident assessments and care planning in collaboration with the care team.
  • Respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow-up and resolution to meet resident and family standards.
  • Establish positive relationships with residents and families, addressing concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead resident care conferences and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, and hiring of nursing staff, ensuring training and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage labor relations concerns, ensuring proper resolution and performance management.
  • Lead the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process, ensuring that all aspects of the home are regularly reviewed and improved.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy levels and promote the home's services and amenities.
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships to promote the home's services and support the local community.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of clinical and business acumen, with experience in a senior living environment.
  • RPN/RN with current good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of computerized software and Resident Care Management systems is an asset.
