Retirement Home Director

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retirement Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two of our homes in Shelburne and Thornbury, ON.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and implement the overall strategy for the Retirement Home, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality resident care.
- Exercise delegated authority for resident care and planning, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Develop and manage the overall budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
- Coordinate education, infection control, quality improvement, best practice, and risk management processes.
- Participate in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating accurate resident assessments and care planning in collaboration with team members.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
- Establish positive relationships with residents and families, addressing concerns and complaints.
- Lead resident care conferences and ensure effective communication.
- Recruit, select, and hire nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage labor relations concerns, ensuring proper resolution and performance management.
- Lead CQI processes and develop marketing strategies to increase occupancy levels.
- Establish and maintain community partnerships.
- 1-3 years of clinical and business acumen.
- 1-3 years in a senior living environment.
- RPN/RN with current good standing with the CNO.
- Effective leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex resident and staff situations within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of computerized software and Resident Care Management systems is an asset.
