Service Writer Job Description

At SunSource, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Act as a liaison between our shop and customers in the service department, providing timely and effective communication.
  • Repair Coordination: Coordinate repairs and quotes, ensuring that estimates are reviewed within 24 hours and quotes are prepared and delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Part Purchasing: Purchase parts required for repairs, new units, and conversions, as well as shop supplies approved by the Shop Manager and Branch Manager.
  • General Support: Assist the Shop Manager and Lead Hand in ensuring service work is completed on time, maintain a safe working environment, and assist with general office tasks and inventory control.
Requirements:
  • Clear understanding of P21's Service and Production Order modules.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
