Patient Service Representative

A key member of the ambulatory surgical clinics team, this role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for reception, communication, appointment scheduling, chart flow, armbanding, and building of Community Wide Scheduling resource schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the clinic needs are met.
  • Utilize strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, external agencies, and staff.
  • Accurately receive and relay information in a timely manner to the appropriate person/departments.
  • Utilize and share acquired knowledge to improve processes and accuracy of information.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to a changing work environment.
  • Proficiency in completing tasks associated with daily clinic routine and processes, with the ability to prioritize and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and organizational skills.
  • Accountable and responsible for maintaining departmental statistical data and ordering/maintaining departmental supplies.

Computer Competency:

  • Proficiency in working in a computerized environment, including Meditech – ADM, Meditech – Expanse/PCS/Service Portal/Maintenance, Meditech – Community Wide Scheduling, Meditech – EMR, and Microsoft Office.

Requirements:

  • Medical Office Administration certificate or equivalent program required.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Ability to work at off-site locations when required.
