Job Summary:

The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Service Clerk to join our team. As a valued member of our ambulatory surgical clinics, this position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception and communication services to patients and families
  • Schedule appointments manually and electronically
  • Manage chart flow and armbanding processes
  • Build and maintain Community Wide Scheduling resource schedules
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure clinic needs are met

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Works in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies, and standards of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre
  • Commitment to customer service skills and effective communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a professional team
  • Utilizes telephone etiquette and accurately receives and relays information
  • Proficiency in computerized environments, including Meditech and Microsoft Office
  • Medical Office Administration certificate or equivalent program required

Computer Competency:

  • Proficiency in working in a computerized environment
