At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Food Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality department, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the preparation and distribution of meals and nourishments to patients, visitors, and community members.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 62 aides, techs, chefs, clerks, and leaders in providing exceptional patient care and service.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize nutritional care and patient safety while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the department's operating budget, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with Public Health, Registered Dieticians, Speech Language Pathologists, patients, and unit managers to resolve concerns and improve patient satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition Management or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in food service management in a unionized, acute care hospital.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and direct teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
