Position Overview
In this role, you will report directly to the Controller and oversee the daily accounting functions of a specified commercial property portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing leases within the Spectra system
- Managing billing processes and chargebacks
- Posting rent rolls and supervising tenant accounts receivable
- Handling GST, parking tax, and PST rebate submissions
- Ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger
- Executing month-end journal entries
- Producing monthly financial statements
- Conducting comprehensive account reconciliations
- Preparing detailed variance analyses
- Assisting in budget development
- Reconciling year-end operating expenses
- Preparing annual audit documentation
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial property accounting. A CPA designation or significant progress towards obtaining one is highly desirable. Proficiency in MS Office Excel and Yardi is essential, while familiarity with Spectra software is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
