Commercial Property Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Manager to oversee the management of our commercial properties and condominiums. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property management, with a minimum of three years of experience in this field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost management of operating expenses
  • Rent collection and arrears management
  • Marketing and leasing of units, including retail and condominium spaces
  • Lease renewals and administration
  • Purchase order processing and contractor management
  • Work order processing and administration
  • Lease administration and maintenance management
  • Client management and supervision of assigned staff
  • On-call response to after-hours emergencies
  • Assisting with the leasing and marketing of vacant spaces
  • Coordinating with listing brokers
  • Preparing lease and renewal documentation
  • Setting up, charging, and adjusting leases in Yardi
  • Assisting with account analysis and A/R collection
  • Assisting with budgeting and year-end recoveries
  • Property management office administration, including typing and distributing correspondence to tenants, filing, and answering phones

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Five years of experience in property management
  • Minimum of three years of commercial property and condominium management experience
  • Experience with Yardi would be an asset
  • Strong lease negotiation skills
  • Strong contract management and trade supervision
  • Energetic leadership and ability to identify, evaluate, and develop new ideas with supportable results
  • Solid analytical strengths and ability to apply logic and reasoning to effectively manage projects, analyze complex financial, legal, and contractual problems, and provide solutions or recommendations
  • Effective negotiation skills to influence and impact at all levels – senior management, peers, direct and indirect reports
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify risk, and mitigate liability
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Reliable vehicle required for traveling to various sites
