Commercial Property Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Manager to oversee the management of our commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, with a focus on commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Oversee the management of operating expenses, ensuring that costs are minimized and budgets are met.
  • Rent Collection and Arrears Management: Collect rent from tenants and manage arrears, ensuring that all payments are up to date.
  • Marketing and Leasing: Market and lease commercial and condominium units, ensuring that properties are occupied at optimal levels.
  • Lease Renewals: Renew leases for commercial and condominium units, ensuring that terms are favorable to the company.
  • Purchase Order Processing and Contractor Management: Process purchase orders and manage contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Work Order Processing and Administration: Process work orders and administer maintenance and repairs, ensuring that properties are well-maintained.
  • Lease Administration: Administer leases, ensuring that all terms are met and that properties are occupied at optimal levels.
  • Maintenance Management: Manage maintenance and repairs, ensuring that properties are well-maintained and that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Client Management: Manage client relationships, ensuring that all clients are satisfied with the level of service provided.
  • Management Reporting: Provide regular management reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of property performance.
  • Supervision and Management: Supervise and manage assigned staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • On-Call Response: Respond to after-hours emergencies, ensuring that properties are secure and that all issues are resolved promptly.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Five years of experience in property management, with a focus on commercial and industrial properties.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as real estate or business.
  • Skills: Strong lease negotiation skills, contract management and trade supervision, energetic leadership, solid analytical strengths, effective negotiation skills, sound analytical and problem-solving skills, superior oral and written communication skills, and strong computer skills.
