Job Description

Role Overview

The Private Banking Associate role is a key position in Scotiabank's Wealth Management division, responsible for providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals. As a Private Banking Associate, you will work closely with experienced Private Bankers to deliver tailored financial solutions and advice to clients, helping them achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service and build strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals
  • Work closely with experienced Private Bankers to deliver tailored financial solutions and advice to clients
  • Conduct thorough financial needs assessments to understand clients' goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement customized financial plans to meet clients' needs
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory changes to provide expert advice to clients

Requirements

  • Completion of a undergraduate or master's degree by June 2025, or relevant work experience in building client relationships and providing financial advice
  • Registration with the appropriate provincial securities commission to obtain a license to sell mutual funds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop creative solutions
