Role Overview


• Evaluate and resolve insurance claims across various products, including home, auto, motorcycle, commercial, and warranty insurance.

• Assess insurance policy coverages to establish claim eligibility.

• Conduct thorough investigations by collecting statements, determining loss amounts, and negotiating settlements.

• Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities when applicable.

• Guide external service providers to enhance the efficiency of the claims investigation and settlement process.

• Draft correspondence and prepare necessary reports.

• Process payments or communicate payment denials.

• Maintain adequate reserve amounts for claims.

Candidate Qualifications


• College diploma required.

• Must possess a claims adjuster license for personal and commercial insurance.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in claims handling.

• Holding the PAA or FPAA designation or actively pursuing it is advantageous.

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with a strong command of English for communication with colleagues across provinces.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and taking on increasing responsibilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
