About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Nai Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Create innovative and delicious recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Train and instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, such as banquets and weddings.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences for weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
  • Plan menus and ensure that food meets our high quality standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
