Job Summary

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, temporary Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment (PRT) Service, Clinical Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with the services' Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team to support models of care.
  • Role model clinical practice in complex care situations.
  • Engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients.
  • Support interprofessional collaborative care, academic, and research opportunities.
  • Promote the implementation and audit of documentation standards.
  • Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety.
  • Supervise graduate students.
  • Participate in program planning and evaluation.
  • Support integrated care pathways to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Play an active role on internal and external committees.
  • Serve as a clinical resource in service-level and organizational-level strategic planning activities for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in a regulated health discipline.
  • A member of good standing in the regulatory body.
  • 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the complex psychiatric and physical health needs of this clinical population.
  • Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health, or other relevant certification is an asset.
  • Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous advanced practice/administrative/academic scholarship.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
